Using EDIT

You can use the following EDIT commands to edit the contents of
your
announcement file. These commands also apply to any editing which
uses the
EDIT editor.
/T move the cursor to the top of the file
/B move the cursor to the bottom of the file and
display the last line
/Pn display the number of lines you specify (n),
beginning with the line the cursor is on
/n or /-n move the cursor up or down the number of lines
you specify (n or -n) and displays the nth
line
/L unique string move the cursor to the line that contains
one or more occurrences of the text you
specify (unique string)

/Dn delete the number if lines you specify (n),
beginning with the line the cursor is on,
and display the first line left undeleted
/R new line replace the line the cursor is on with the
text you specify (new line)
/C/old string/new string change the old text you specify
(old string) to the new text
you specify (new string)
/n GC/old string/new string globally change the n occur-
ances of the text you
specify (old string) to the
new text you specify (new
string). If n is larger than
the number of occurrences,
CompuServe displays this
message:
[STRING NOT FOUND]
/W list the current line number
